Last Saturday, we held our latest Sparring Day edition, and we hope both competitors and spectators had a great time! We usually have a higher number of students registering for our internal events, typically resulting in 10 to 12 bouts. Although we had only 5 fights this time, we believe this is a strong indication that our competition pathway at SRG is working well. Since we started Sparring Day, over 10 students have joined the amateur rankings, with two of them going on to become professional fighters. The goal of Sparring Day is to prepare our students for the rules...

We are taking a big step
We’ve mentioned it multiple times, but our main goal at SRG has always been to offer the best Muay Thai experience to our students here in Sydney and that goal hasn’t changed. Currently, we have 12 trainers teaching our 54 group classes every week, but we want more. More classes, more trainers, more Muay Thai, and more room. Yes, that’s right, more room. It’s no surprise to those with sharp eyes, but the building adjacent to SRG, where Sports Lab used to operate, is now vacant and well, we’re taking it. That rolling door behind our treadmills will be opened...

Deal of the Month
We’re always looking for ways to improve our students’ experience at SRG. And hey—if we can help you score some cool new training gear while staying within your budget, why not? Starting today, once a month, we’ll be selecting a few items that aren’t on sale (online or in-store) and giving our members 20% OFF on these items. To claim the deal, just swing by the reception and chat with our front desk team. The discounted prices will be available for roughly a month—or while stocks last. Excited to upgrade your training gear? Here are this month’s selected products available...

Private classes price rise
It’s been five years since our last private classes price increase, and after much consideration, we’ve decided it’s time to adjust our prices to better reflect current industry standards. Our trainers are among the most qualified Muay Thai coaches in Australia, and it simply doesn’t make sense for less experienced individuals to be charging more than we do. Effective from June 2nd, our updated pricing is as follows: MEMBERS 30 minutes: $60 45 minutes: $80 1 hour: $100 10 private session pack (1-hour sessions): $900 NON-MEMBERS 30 minutes: $70 45 minutes: $100 1 hour: $120 10 private session pack: $1,080...

A busy weekend of fights here at SRG
We have been so busy with our fight team, and it feels like our fighters have been competing non-stop every weekend. This Sunday isn’t any different, and we have 7 fighters—both professional and amateur—repping the SRG fight team. If you don’t have plans yet, make sure to come to SRG on Sunday to enjoy two events: starting at 12pm with the MNSW Development Day, and then at 5:30pm with SRG Fight Night. MNSW Development Day is the first step for any fighter intending to become a professional. Amateurs from gyms all over NSW will be competing at an event sanctioned...

Anzac Day + RWS
It’s Anzac Day tomorrow, and due to the public holiday, we will be closed until Saturday. Some of our instructors will be available for private sessions tomorrow. If you’d like to book one, please contact them directly via Instagram. On Saturday, we also have two of our fighters competing in Bangkok. SRG’s head coach, Luis Regis, is currently in Thailand wrapping up James Kostic’s fight camp at Sitsongpeenong and training Robert Whittaker (yes, the former UFC Champion), who has been sharpening his striking skills with both Luis and Cajaiba since last year. Representing the SRG Fight Team in the Rajadamnern...

Muay Thai super class
Our very own Muay Thai rising star, James Kostic, is set for another exciting match in Bangkok, returning to the RWS stage against a tough Thai opponent. James is a true champion—both on and off the mats—and it’s amazing to see his hard work paying off. RWS (Rajadamnern World Series) is the second-largest Muay Thai promotion in the world, and after James’s last performance there against former three-time world champion Ognjen Topic, he proved he belongs on the biggest stages. We received the call from Thailand last month and couldn’t say no. So next week, James, Luis, and Paul Steffen...

New SRG Sparring Day – 31/05/2025
Time to stir things up and bring the heat once again with another SRG Sparring Day! This edition will be held on 31st May, and there are a few exciting changes compared to previous events. The main difference: Cost and what you get. All participants are required to register and pay the new fee upon registration (if you are not matched, your funds will be refunded). For this upcoming edition, competitors will receive a brand-new competitor short and singlet, which will be exclusive to participants and not available for sale. We will also have a photographer at the event, and...
