What a great weekend we had winning 4 out of 6 bouts. If you didn’t make it to the event on the weekend, you should know you missed out a great day of Muay Thai.
At the MNSW Development Day, 3 of our amateur fighters were competing, Saurabh won his bout via points decision, Kelly came shorts on points and Al unfortunately had a knee injury early in the first round.
SRG Fight Night had only pro fighters competing and all of them displayed our gym’s beautiful style and put on a performance for all the attendees.
Paul Steffens opened the show and with well timed punches, knockout his opponent in the first round. James Kostic had his professional debut and he seemed natural in the ring, won every round to get the win via points decision and also received the fight of the night bonus. Cale was the main event and facing his first Thai opponent, he had across the ring his hardest challenge yet. Cale didn’t feel intimidated by his opponent and showed his beautiful style, proving he’s no longer an upcomer Muay Thai fighter but already one of the best fighters in his weight division in Australia, he won via unanimous points decision and we can’t wait to have him back in the ring.
This was our last event in Sydney this year and now we are counting the days for our traditional end of the year BBQ. On Saturday the 9th of December at Arthur Byrne reserve in Maroubra, we will gather for a traditional Brazilian barbecue with family and friends. Please be there from 3pm. All our members are welcome! BYO drinks.
