SRG Thai Boxing Gym had a real tough weekend. 3 Fights, 3 Losses at Siam2Sydney Muay Thai Promotions Show.
Not a bad day for the Muay Thai Community, which witnessed a display of the highest level of the Martial Art presented to us in West Ryde.
Despite the losses, we had some great demonstration of heart, and that alone tells us we are on the right path of building the next generation of Nak Muays in Australia.
First we had Sheng, that already had a few fights for other gyms prior starting his training at SRG. He fought well, took a lot of hits from a very tough and strong opponent. Sheng will improve on his fitness and is sure to represent us again and do us proud.
Rob had his first fight on Saturday and what a first fight. Showed us a lot of heart and besides that, great technique, a lot of calm and listened to the corner like no other. Very impressive first fight and we couldn’t be happier for him. Can’t wait to match him again and get him on a role.
Deaw had a tough day against a strong Junior. He was going for a bit of a calmer fight, but couldn’t get that from Junior, that brought the pain straight to him looking for the W. And he took it, well deserved victory for Junior PTJ Muay Thai Gym that showed everyone that at 20 years of age, he has a huge future in the industry, and is sure to bring us all great moments in the ring.
Great Muay Thai show all around promoted be Andrew PTJ Muay Thai Gym. Thanks a lot men to keep the traditional shows in Sydney.
We said good bye to Deaw on Sunday, and he is due to come back in a couple of months. He will teach at Kem Muay Thai Gym for the next few months helping the guys there get ready to bring the Thailand Stadium Belts to their gym.
We wanted to say a big thank you to Deaw Patsanona and to his wife Jub for helping us so much in the gym. We can’t wait to have him back in Sydney.
