Simply training Muay Thai isn’t enough to take you to the next level, if you wish to improve your game and make your best effort in and out of the mats, then you must do what other fighters do. Fighters are always taking it to next level, mentally and physically. They are always ready for a challenge and don’t take shortcuts. Most of our fighters are already following their programs from our strength and conditioning coach Graeme Morris and having their diet sorted out by Kristof Szanto. What difference does it makes into training?
Their bodies are fully tuned. Their muscles are stronger. Their recovery and injury prevention is at its peak. Does your hips feel weak or knees aren’t strong as you feel they should be during training? Most likely the auxiliar muscles aren’t doing their job correctly or are simply not strong enough to take the stress you’ve been putting on them daily.
Thinking about how to bring the convenience of using the weight area at the gym on a friendly user app, our fighter’s strength and conditioning coach Graeme Morris created an online strength and conditioning program called “Fight Club” that is specifically designed for Muay Thai. The program gives you access to strength, power, mobility and conditioning programs that changes every 4 weeks. Through an app the user has access to videos for each exercise so that you know exactly how to perform the movement. The program takes into consideration the gym equipment at SRG so that it is perfect for members.
There are many fighters at SRG including head coach Luis Regis who use Fight Club to build speed, power and strength throughout the body so that you are able to transfer this across to your sport in training and competition. Robustness and resiliency are key components of the program so that you are less likely to get injured and can continue to compete in the sport you love.
Graeme is offering a discount code that provides 30% off for all SRG Members (pls note the price on the platform is in USD, as it’s American based app). There is also a 7-day free trial so that if you feel the program is not for you, you can cancel it immediately.
Graeme is an experienced strength and conditioning coach who works in the NRL for the West Tigers in the area of athletic development and injury rehabilitation. He has also worked with numerous professional fighters including Luis Regis, River Daz and Ramesh Habib. If you are interested in more information you can check out the link below. Also, you can ask him in person as he is in the gym most afternoon/nights.
