Private classes are the fastest way to not only sharpen up your technique, but also the best way to work on your weak points.
If you are not a fighter, hitting the pads for 10 rounds might not be the best way of spending your money. Have you considered in taking things slowly and start all over?
Yes, starting all over. There is a point when all of us, start doing things out of habit and then it’s natural to lose your touch on the finer details. Would you be confident to shadow box with someone analyzing your skills? We’ve seen many students getting frustrated when being corrected in simple movements during private sessions but that’s actually the only way to improve.
Before booking a private session, you should know what your weak points are or at least what you are interested in learning. Not saying that you can come blind to a private session with no previous experience and start your Muay Thai journey this way, but you certainly will have a better experience if you already know which points you need to work on.
Doing a session with your favorite instructor is always nice but not necessarily the best option. Each instructor is different and has a unique style and sometimes the best pad holder is not the best way to teach on how to clinch or to spar with you.
Here at SRG Thai Boxing gym, our friendly staff is always ready to help you out with all your questions so don’t hesitate to contact us if there’s any questions.
