As many other martial arts, Traditional Muay Thai doesn’t have a grading system, but identifying a student’s level it is not an easy task, and your trainers are the only ones that can help you out.
We understand how much you all want to progress through the classes and get in the Advanced training sessions, but do you have the minimum knowledge required to be next to our most experienced students?
Understanding the way our classes are structured will definitely help you to find out which class you should attend. Below is a short resume of our classes.
- Fundamentals – In this particular program you will have lots of foot work, basic Muay Thai drills and Pad Holding techniques to establish you with a strong foundation in what is required to attend all other classes at SRG Thai Boxing Gym.
- Beginners -Designed to accommodate everyone that works “business hours” in the best way possible, this class is the everyday evening session for everyone to come over and break a sweat, while learning authentic Muay Thai Techniques.Once you done the Introduction Free Trial Class, The Fundamentals Class and is now feeling confident with your pad holding abilities as well as the mobility work (the exercises we do straight after the warm-up/skipping) this class is the one that will take your training to the next level. Here you will learn all your Muay Thai techniques, will be encouraged and guided into how develop your fitness level and also how to gain the flexibility required in order to perform some of the most advanced techniques.
- Intermediate/Adavanced – Designed to make you want to quit, this particular class has our full squad of Thai Trainers hammering you, making you feel like you should have never turned up for training, and not only physically, but also mentally. This is what this class is designed for, and we encourage you to NOT TO ATTEND THIS CLASS if this is not what you are intending to get from it. This particular class if FOR MEMBERS ONLY, but it doesn’t mean you decide when to start attending these sessions, YOU MUST RECEIVE AN APPROVAL FROM ONE OF OUR INSTRUCTORS IN ORDER TO ATTEND THESE CLASSES. There are no exceptions, so please don’t push us at the reception trying to gain access to these classes.
Now, ask yourself:
Do you know how to hold pads?
How is your mobility work?
How is your shadow boxing?
Have you received approval from our trainers before attending the int/adv classes?
Do not rush the process, be a beginner for as long as the trainers think you should. On the right time, they will approach you and encourage you to attend our Intermediate/advanced classes and sparring sessions.
Hope you are having a great day and see you soon at training.
